Routine vaccines

Make sure all your routine vaccines are up to date, including chickenpox, tetanus, flu, MMR, polio, and shingles vaccines.

COVID-19

Stay up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines before traveling.

Hepatitis A

Hepatitis A vaccine is recommended for all unvaccinated travelers 1 year and older. Special dosing applies for infants and high-risk travelers.

Hepatitis B

Hepatitis B vaccine is recommended for unvaccinated travelers under 60. Those 60 and older may also consider vaccination.

Measles

All travelers should be fully vaccinated with MMR vaccine, including infants 6-11 months who need an early dose.

Typhoid

Typhoid vaccine is recommended for most travelers, especially if visiting rural areas or staying with friends and relatives.

Chikungunya

Chikungunya vaccine is generally not recommended for Argentina. Focus on preventing mosquito bites instead.

Rabies

Rabies is found in wildlife and bats in Argentina, but not commonly in dogs. Consider pre-exposure vaccination based on your activities and access to medical care.

Yellow Fever

Yellow fever vaccine is recommended if traveling to Corrientes or Misiones provinces, generally not recommended for Formosa and parts of Chaco, Jujuy, and Salta provinces, and not recommended for other areas.
