Routine Vaccines

Hepatitis A
Hepatitis A vaccine is recommended for all travelers to Belize who haven't been vaccinated. Special dosing applies for infants and high-risk travelers.
Hepatitis B
Hepatitis B vaccine is recommended for travelers under 60. Those 60 and older may choose to get vaccinated.
Measles
All travelers should be fully vaccinated against measles with MMR vaccine. Infants 6-11 months need an early dose.
Typhoid
Typhoid vaccine is recommended for most travelers to Belize, especially if visiting rural areas or staying with friends and relatives.
Chikungunya
Chikungunya vaccine is generally not recommended. Focus on preventing mosquito bites instead.
Rabies
Consider rabies vaccination if you'll be around animals or in areas where medical care might be limited. Rabies is present in dogs and wildlife in Belize.
