Routine vaccines

Stay up-to-date on all routine vaccines including chickenpox, tetanus, flu, MMR, polio, and shingles before traveling.

COVID-19

Stay up-to-date with COVID-19 vaccines before traveling.

Hepatitis A

Consider hepatitis A vaccine if visiting smaller cities, villages, rural areas, or planning to eat street food.

Hepatitis B

Recommended for unvaccinated travelers under 60. Those 60 and older may consider vaccination.

Measles

All travelers should be fully vaccinated with MMR vaccine at least 2 weeks before travel due to rising cases worldwide.

Rabies

Rabies risk is low as infected dogs are uncommon. Vaccines are available if needed. Consider pre-exposure vaccination only for high-risk activities or if you might have difficulty accessing treatment quickly.

Tick-borne Encephalitis

Consider TBE vaccine if you'll have extensive outdoor activities in tick-endemic areas or might be exposed to ticks during outdoor activities.

Yellow Fever

Yellow fever vaccine is not recommended and not required for entry to Norway.
