Routine Vaccines
Make sure you are up-to-date on all routine vaccines including chickenpox, DTP, flu, MMR, polio, and shingles before traveling.
COVID-19
Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines before traveling.
Hepatitis A
Consider hepatitis A vaccination, especially if visiting smaller cities, villages, rural areas, or planning to eat street food.
Hepatitis B
Hepatitis B vaccine is recommended for unvaccinated travelers under 60, and may be considered for those 60 and older.
Measles
Get fully vaccinated against measles with MMR vaccine at least two weeks before travel, including early doses for infants 6-11 months.
Polio
Polio vaccination is important as poliovirus has been identified in Finland. Adults may need a booster, and unvaccinated travelers need the complete series.
Rabies
Rabies pre-exposure vaccination may be considered based on your planned activities and access to medical care. Rabid dogs are not commonly found in Finland and vaccines are typically available.
Tick-borne Encephalitis
