Routine Vaccines

Make sure all your routine vaccines are up to date, including chickenpox, tetanus, flu, MMR, polio, and shingles vaccines.

Stay up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines before traveling.

Hepatitis A

Hepatitis A vaccine is recommended for all travelers to Kyrgyzstan. Special dosing may be needed for infants, those with allergies, or high-risk travelers departing soon.

Hepatitis B

Hepatitis B vaccine is recommended for all unvaccinated travelers to Kyrgyzstan regardless of age.

Measles

Measles cases are rising worldwide. Get your MMR vaccine at least 2 weeks before travel. Infants 6-11 months need an early dose.

Typhoid

Typhoid vaccine is recommended for most travelers to Kyrgyzstan, especially if staying with local families or visiting smaller cities and rural areas.

Rabies

Rabid dogs are common in Kyrgyzstan. Consider getting rabies vaccine before travel if you'll be around animals or in remote areas where treatment may not be readily available.

Tick-borne Encephalitis

Consider tick-borne encephalitis vaccine if you'll spend a lot of time outdoors in tick-prone areas of Kyrgyzstan.

Yellow Fever

Yellow fever vaccine is not needed for travel to Kyrgyzstan and is not required for entry.
