Routine Vaccines
Make sure all routine vaccines are up to date before traveling, including chickenpox, tetanus, flu, MMR, polio, and shingles vaccines.

Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines before traveling.
Hepatitis A
Hepatitis A vaccine is recommended for all travelers to Micronesia age 1 and older. Infants 6-11 months should also get vaccinated. Special protocols apply for those with allergies or certain medical conditions.
Hepatitis B
Hepatitis B vaccine is recommended for all unvaccinated travelers of any age going to Micronesia.
Measles
All travelers should be fully vaccinated against measles with MMR vaccine at least 2 weeks before travel. Infants 6-11 months need an early dose.
Typhoid
Typhoid vaccine is recommended for most travelers to Micronesia, especially if you're staying with friends/relatives or visiting smaller cities or rural areas.
Rabies
Rabid dogs are uncommon in Micronesia, but rabies vaccines may only be available in larger medical facilities. Consider pre-exposure vaccination if you'll be doing high-risk activities or might not have quick access to medical care.
