Routine Vaccines

Make sure all your routine vaccines are up to date, including chickenpox, tetanus, flu, MMR, polio, and shingles vaccines.

Stay up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines before traveling.

Hepatitis A

Hepatitis A vaccine is recommended for all travelers to Moldova age 1 and older. Special dosing may apply for infants, older adults, and those with medical conditions.

Hepatitis B

Hepatitis B vaccine is recommended for all unvaccinated travelers to Moldova regardless of age.

Measles

Measles cases are rising worldwide. Make sure you're fully vaccinated with MMR vaccine at least 2 weeks before travel. Infants 6-11 months need an early dose.

Rabies

Rabies is present in dogs and wildlife in Moldova. Consider pre-exposure vaccination if you'll have high-risk animal contact or limited access to medical care. Post-exposure vaccines are generally available throughout the country.

Tick-borne Encephalitis

Tick-borne encephalitis vaccine is recommended if you'll have extensive outdoor activities with tick exposure in endemic areas of Moldova. Consider vaccination for any outdoor activities where ticks may be present.

Yellow Fever

Yellow fever vaccine is not needed for Moldova - there's no risk and no entry requirement.
