Routine vaccines

Make sure all routine vaccines are up to date including chickenpox, tetanus, flu, MMR, polio, and shingles.

COVID-19

Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines before traveling.

Hepatitis A

Hepatitis A vaccine is recommended for all unvaccinated travelers to Russia age 1 year and older, including infants 6-11 months.

Hepatitis B

Hepatitis B vaccine is recommended for unvaccinated travelers under 60. Those 60 and older may choose to get vaccinated.

Measles

All travelers should be fully vaccinated against measles with MMR vaccine, including infants 6-11 months who need an early dose.

Japanese Encephalitis

Japanese encephalitis vaccine is recommended for long-term travelers (1+ month) or those doing high-risk activities in rural areas. Not needed for short urban trips.

Rabies

Consider rabies vaccine if you'll have high-risk animal exposure or limited access to medical care. Rabies vaccines may only be available in larger medical facilities in Russia.

Tick-borne Encephalitis

Tick-borne encephalitis vaccine is recommended if you'll have extensive tick exposure in endemic areas or may consider for outdoor activities where ticks are present.

Yellow Fever

Yellow fever vaccine is not recommended and not required for entry to Russia.
