Routine Vaccines

Make sure all your routine vaccines are up to date, including chickenpox, tetanus, flu, MMR, polio, and shingles vaccines.

COVID-19

Stay up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines before traveling.

Hepatitis A

Hepatitis A vaccine is recommended for most travelers to Slovenia. Special timing and dosing considerations apply for infants, older adults, and those with health conditions.

Hepatitis B

Hepatitis B vaccine is recommended for travelers under 60. Those 60 and older may choose to get vaccinated.

Measles

Measles cases are rising worldwide. Make sure you're fully vaccinated with MMR vaccine at least two weeks before travel. Infants 6-11 months need an early dose.

Rabies

Rabies risk is low in Slovenia, but rabies vaccines may only be available in larger medical facilities. Consider pre-exposure vaccination if you'll be doing high-risk activities or might have trouble accessing medical care quickly.

Tick-borne Encephalitis

Tick-borne encephalitis vaccine is recommended if you'll have extensive tick exposure in endemic areas of Slovenia, or may be considered for other outdoor activities where ticks are present.

Yellow Fever

Yellow fever vaccine is not needed for Slovenia - there's no risk and no entry requirement.
