Routine Vaccines

Make sure all your routine vaccines are up to date, including chickenpox, tetanus, flu, MMR, polio, and shingles vaccines.

Stay up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines before traveling.

Hepatitis A

Hepatitis A vaccine is recommended for all travelers to Tajikistan. Special timing and dosing considerations apply for infants, older adults, and those with medical conditions.

Hepatitis B

Hepatitis B vaccine is recommended for all unvaccinated travelers to Tajikistan regardless of age.

Measles

Measles cases are rising worldwide. Make sure you're fully vaccinated with MMR vaccine at least two weeks before travel. Infants 6-11 months need special early dosing.

Typhoid

Typhoid vaccine is recommended for most travelers to Tajikistan, especially if you're staying with friends/family or visiting smaller cities and rural areas.

Rabies

Rabies is present in dogs and wildlife in Tajikistan. Consider getting vaccinated before travel if you'll be around animals or in remote areas where treatment might not be readily available.

Yellow Fever

Yellow fever vaccine is not needed for travel to Tajikistan - there's no risk there and it's not required for entry.
