Routine vaccines

Stay up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines before traveling.

Hepatitis A

Hepatitis A vaccine is recommended for all travelers to Togo. Infants 6-11 months should also get vaccinated.

Hepatitis B

Hepatitis B vaccine is recommended for all unvaccinated travelers to Togo.

Measles

Measles cases are rising worldwide. Make sure you're fully vaccinated with MMR vaccine at least 2 weeks before travel. Infants 6-11 months need an early dose.

Typhoid

Typhoid vaccine is recommended for most travelers to Togo, especially if staying with friends/relatives or visiting smaller cities or rural areas.

Yellow Fever

Yellow fever vaccine is both recommended for your protection and required for entry into Togo for all travelers 9 months and older.

Cholera

Cholera vaccination may be considered if traveling to the Maritime region, though cholera is rare in travelers. Focus on safe food and water practices.

Meningococcal disease

Meningococcal vaccine is recommended if traveling to parts of Togo in the meningitis belt during dry season (December to June).

Rabies

Rabies-infected dogs are common in Togo. Consider pre-exposure rabies vaccination if you'll be around animals or in remote areas where treatment may not be readily available.
