Routine Vaccines

Make sure all your routine vaccines are up to date, including chickenpox, tetanus, flu, MMR, polio, and shingles vaccines.

COVID-19

Stay up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines before traveling.

Hepatitis A

Hepatitis A vaccine is recommended for all travelers to Turkey. Infants 6-11 months should also get vaccinated. Special arrangements may be needed for people over 40, immunocompromised individuals, or those with chronic conditions.

Hepatitis B

Hepatitis B vaccine is recommended for unvaccinated travelers under 60. Those 60 and older may also choose to get vaccinated.

Measles

All travelers should be fully vaccinated against measles with MMR vaccine at least two weeks before departure. Infants 6-11 months should get an early dose.

Typhoid

Typhoid vaccine is recommended for most travelers to Turkey, especially if you're staying with friends or relatives or visiting smaller cities or rural areas.

Rabies

Rabies is present in dogs and wildlife in Turkey. Consider pre-exposure vaccination if you'll be doing activities that increase animal exposure risk or might have difficulty accessing medical care quickly.

Yellow Fever

Yellow fever vaccine is not recommended and not required for entry to Turkey.
